About Me
Hello! My name is Jessica Brandt and I just recently completed the JavaScript course at Eleven Fifty Academy. The more I emerge myself in code the more I love it. Working on programing projects is like trying to solve a puzzle to me. It may be a bit frustrating at times, but piece-by-piece you get to the bigger picture and nothing is more satisfying than when you finally get to lay in that last piece.
Unfortunately I haven’t always been involved with web development. Growing up I always thought that my career would strictly be in the fashion industry. At the age of 15 I signed with a modeling agency launching my career in fashion. In addition to this, shortly after high school I decided to study fashion merchandising. Modeling offered several opportunities and helped me develop professionally, however I couldn’t work with the agency full-time while also attending school. I was still able to model part-time until the age of 22, when I decided to fully pursue other opportunities. The fashion merchandising studies were fascinating but ultimately limited my future opportunities so I switched to a business major. After some time studying business I realized this was not the most engaging field for me. Luckily I know quite a few people who are involved in web development. Without them pushing me to go outside my comfort zone I would have never discovered this exciting new field.
